Reasons for watching: Named in Unspoken Cinema by Harry Tuttle (2012). In this blogpost Tuttle is focusing on films which reflect the Contemplative Cinema profile. Tuttle identifies the film as being one of 2011's most succesful examples of Contemplative Cinema.
Usefulness: The film matches five of the six criterions I have identified elsewhere. The film is very small in scale and as a result of its rather short length and its adoption of road movie aesthetics is a very watchable example of Slow Cinema which lacks the seriousness and grandiose scale of the a Bela Tarr film.
Verdict: A
